Shoulder arthroscopy

Shoulder arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat problems in the shoulder, rotator cuff, and associated ligaments. It is done using a thin, flexible instrument called an arthroscope, which is inserted through small incisions in the skin.

During a shoulder arthroscopy, the arthroscope allows the surgeon to view the inside of the joint on a video monitor in real time. This is especially useful for evaluating and treatingconditions such as injuries to the cartilage, rotator cuff, labrum, and other tissues in the shoulder.

The benefits of shoulder arthroscopy include faster recovery, less pain, and lower risk of complications compared to traditional shoulder surgeries. After the procedure, physical therapy is necessary to help strengthen the shoulder and restore normal function.

Shoulder arthroscopy is commonly performed to treat injuries such as rotator cuff tears, supraspinatus tendon injuries, subacromial impingement, and bicipital tendon injuries. If you are a candidate for shoulder arthroscopy, we can help you with world-class treatments.
